Dr. Amjad Alkadri is an interventional radiologist and vein specialist with expertise in minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Alkadri received his medical degree in 1990 and subsequently completed general surgical and radiology training at Providence hospital in Michigan in 1999. He subsequently completed an interventional radiology fellowship at the university of Illinois medical center in Chicago. Dr. Alkadri is Board certified in Radiology with added qualifications in Interventional radiology.

After his fellowship in 2000, as part of his dedication to teaching, He served for 4 years as a clinical assistant professor of radiology at the U of I medical center.  During this time he performed hundreds of complex minimally invasive procedures using state of the art technologies.

An accomplished physician-scientist, he has 20 years experience in the field of interventional radiology with special interest in varicose veins treatment and nonsurgical cosmetic procedures. He is currently a primary investigator for an ablative cosmetic treatment of the face sponsored by the FDA.  Dr. Alkadri served as the chairman of radiology at Porter hospital in Valparaiso, Indiana for 10 years. 16 years ago, Dr. Alkadri is founded the Vein center of NW Indiana. He introduced innovative laser treatments for varicose in NW Indiana in 2003.

Amjad Alkadri, MD, is currently the president of The Vein and Laser institute with 4 offices located in NW Indiana. As president, Dr. Alkadri is responsible for strategic direction, overall administration, recruiting and allocation of resources. The Vein and laser institute is one of the fastest growing vein and cosmetic centers in the Chicagoland area.

Dr. Alkadri serves on the advisory board of BTG, he advises on new revolutionary treatments for varicose veins.
